Top 50 Prospect Question / Idea

So, a couple things got me re-thinking about this idea I've had for a while, but I don't have the info to make it happen. However, I know some people on here have access to it and the end result would be very informative.

1) I saw Seth on Twitter (I think it was him) talking about his upcoming midseason top 50 prospect list.

2) There has been some discussion on here about whether the Twins would be sellers this trade deadline and what types of prospects we might realistically be able to expect back

My Thesis statement is "Even low level prospects have a lot of value." I'm not breaking new ground here obviously, but I've always been curious about the actual numbers behind this statement.

So... what I think would be interesting is to track backwards the prospect rankings of everyone in our current top 50 as well as anyone that has been on the MLB team in the last few years.

It would be most effective in an Excel spreadsheet form

I'll use two examples...

----------------2018----2017----2016----2015----2014----2013----2012----2011

Max Kepler...MLB....MLB.....MLB.......#5.........#13......#15.......#22..... INTL

------------2018----2017----2016----2015----2014----2013----2012----2011

Graterol   #6........#12......#20.......#42.......INTL

The numbers are made up but I hope you understand the idea.

This might only work best guys that came all the way through the Twins system, but the BA Prospect Handbook could be used for guys who came from elsewhere

The idea here is to illustrate that all prospects have to start somewhere and just because a guy we pick up in a trade might fall into the 20s in terms of rankings, doesn't necessarily proclude them from eventually being a very valuable MLB player and/or prospect.
