Sano should be benched for swinging at the first pitch. Esco of course comes through.

Escobar seems to always be better in the clutch. He's 2nd on the team with 35 RBIs, and tied with Abreu for the most doubles in baseball (22).

He's been that way for almost two years.  I loved the fact he replaced Sano in the lineup.  Last year he filled in for Sano well (I think better than Sano could've done)  The guy is a gamer.

Actually I am serious.  Sano is a HUGE threat when he hits but Escobar can actually play more games than Sano and hits very well.  Sano has the makings to be the next super, super ultra star but I have not seen any durability or discipline in his approach.  Not sure how many PA he's got so far but I would like to see some improvement from 2016. He's a natural talent but...

 

Oh, and don't think I would DFA him!  No way!  Just saying, I'd like to see something more from him. Usually guys with that talent get more consistent.  Haven't really seen that yet.

ERA-wise the Sox  bullpen looks halfway decent, WHIP-wise not so much.

Yeah, I sure am, but it seems to me the FO thinks he isn't ready yet. Maybe they think his glove isn't good enough yet? I dunno.

 

The problem is, we're getting close enough to Polanco coming back that calling up Gordon makes less sense. I would really like to get Adrianza out of the lineup though...
