I won't go back and look at the innings or appearances, but it seems like Pressley appears in every game. And isn't really bad at all.... But can one go to the well too often.

I wish I could look up Pressly's stats when pitching in a close game.  I've only seen him be effective when the game is out of reach.  He's a choker.

According to his stats, he's pretty good.

However, his WHIP and BB per 9 are not good. As we just found out.

And I'n not sure I buy the strand rate, because I seem to recall more than a few times he's not gotten the job done. Unless the stat is based on stranding his own runners versus inherited runners.

Let's take a look at the splits:

With RISP, batters hit .746 OPS (.744 OPS with men on) against Pressly compared to a career .697 OPS.

Ah, found it here:

If I'm reading it correctly, Ryan has an abysmal 31% inherited runners strand rate.

How do you look up his stats when pitching in a game decided by 2 runs or less (when he enters)?

No idea.

However, if you look at the second link I provided, Ryan has an abysmal inherited runner strand rate.

I found it on Baseball Reference (look at Pressly's splits):

Within 2 Runs: .276/.338/.430 (.768 OPS)

Within 1 Run: ..287/.361/.468 (.828 OPS)

Yes, he is noticeably worse with a small lead.
