Glad I went to the game, and even more glad I stayed for the bottom of the ninth.

A couple of those managerial decisions almost forced me to leave early.

where were you sitting?

You know he's deflating other players? Hasn't the offense taken off since he returned?

Exactly. 10 RBI in his last 5 games before today...but he’s killing us and we need to move him down in the lineup. Today he makes a nice play coming in on a ball when positioned at shortstop. But it couldn’t have been hustle because everyone know guys his size are lazy. And so it goes.

A fantasy baseball factoid:

A points system isn't perfect, but it does a pretty good job of reflecting offensive value. For those who don't play, it's a point for every base (1 for single, 2 for double, and so on), a point for a walk, RBI, and run, and minus a point for a K. Again, not perfect, but pretty accurate. For example Mike Trout is the #1 OF in terms of points scored, Betts is #2, and so on.

After tonight, Rosario is about to take over Judge for the 7th highest scoring outfielder in the entire MLB. 5 points shy of Bryce Harper.

He's all of the sudden one of the best offensive outfielders in the game. Keep in mind that this doesn't reflect defense in any way, but pretty darn impressive to be in that company at the plate.

I kind of felt like a dumb homer for making Rosario one of my 5 keepers in a 16 team league. Now, he looks very much like a keeper. I hope the Twins FO see it the same way and extend him.

The fans enthusiasm for Rosario and the way he returns it reminds me of how it was with a player named Kirby. The name Eddie will be a popular baby name here in Minny. (Edwina for the girls)  :)

Rosario for Home Run Derby would be fun.

A tad bit of realism here...Rosario is seeing the ball really well right now. Confidence sky-high. He won’t hit homers every at bat for the rest of the season, though.

If he did the home run derby he could find anyone to pitch to him. In fact it might be better to find someone who didn’t know how to pitch since he seems to do especially well with pitches that are not even close to the strike zone.

I am available!

Actually, we live in DC and there is a chance that my son will be on the field for the Home Run Derby. He’s in the Nats “team finals” for the Pitch Hit and Run Competition. All 30 teams have finalists, and those finalists compete for “shag fly balls in the derby” time next week.
