Definitely true, but he doesn’t strike me as the type who may or may not give a flip about his struggles (sano?). Easier to brush off a guy who looks like who doesn’t care over the guy SEEMINGLY trying but being so utterly lost.

I’d have a hard time booing buxton. And I’m a huge proponent of booing.

We don’t see when the real trying is supposed to be happening. I’m not giving Buxton points for gripping the bat into sawdust or looks sad when he fails.

I’m more angry at the numerous scouts who filled our heads with (possibly) unattainable expectations regarding buxton.

One more data point on why I mistrust prospects. Every. Single. One.

Buxton was ranked the number 1 or 2 prospect by all three major services for 3 yrs running. Career minor league numbers of .302/.379/.504.

I think the best use of minor leaguers is often to use them to get major leaguers.

Was Mauer the last highly touted twins prospect to actually hit expectations?

I don't disagree, but would note that Buxton has shown flashes of a very high ceiling, and some established major leaguers (like Lynn) have also played poorly for long stretches. I would think that lots of teams would be willing to trade a lot for Buxton.

True, but we got 26 games out of Garza and 7 out of Ramos. Not the players fault, of course

And just to prove my point, we traded minor leaguer Ramos for proven major league talent Matt Capps.

Need I provide further examples of the certainty of my plan?
