In all seriousness... Here's the thing that I don't get.

This is my first time watching Romero pitch other than the one inning I saw in his last start.

I realize some days you are on and some days you are off but regardless... he clearly has elite stuff.

How in the World does Keith Law have him only ranked 47?

Or how good are the guys who are ranked above him?

Or how are any guys at all ranked above him?

This is why I don't always read Keith Law or the others to form my opinions.

"That's just STUPID"

They were talking about the Red Sox and Yankees, which team is better. One of the other two chuckleheads brought up Luis severino, she said “I’ll see your severino and raise you mookie betts.” ?????? Edited by Aggies7

Right, don't disagree with your thoughts there, but where do you put Erv and May?

Yeah, that's a tough one, don't know what to think.

I really hate to see Romero moved to the bullpen when Santana comes back. Providing, of course, Romero is the real deal.

Are the Twins in a position to make a killer trade at the deadline, dealing an arm they've no space for?

Man, Dickntorii talking about the possibility of Romero vs Ohtani on Sunday. And I'm not going to have access to TV or Radio broadcast.

I'll be looking forward to that one.

However... right now... if forced to choose... I'd have to give the edge to Ohtani at the plate.

I'd be willing to bet that Romero was originally called up with the intention of getting a taste of the big leagues until May and Santana return.

However... there is no way you send what we are seeing down.

Think of some of the pitchers that came up 2011 - 2014 - most of whose names have been banished from my memory.  It is nice to see someone with true talent and potential and not someone you break into a cold sweat when you see his name in the line-up.

I’m outta here if you’re going to speak ill of mark hamburger

Romero sure is impressive. To this point even when Santana comes back they can’t send him to the bullpen, right? At this point the Twins should trade Lynn in order to keep Romero in the rotation or go to a 6 man rotation to keep Romero in the rotation longer.

Santana's at least 3-4 weeks away which could easily be longer if the Twins rotation is going strong. I'd guess there's a moderate chance one of our current starters goes on the DL before then (in which case there's no problem). If all 5 starters are healthy and pitching well when Santana comes back it's a problem I'm overjoyed to have.

Yes. Very good problem to have after the last few weeks!

I almost- but not quite- feel sorry for those Cardinal hitters- after the blazing heat and movement  of Romero, here comes funky, quirky Hildy...

Haaaaa.....

Yeah, but Hildenburger throws relatively hard for a sidewinder. I think he can hit 91 to 92 with his fastball.

Most of the players above him are hitters. How would you compare him to others without seeing others?
