Said the same thing when it skittered by Morrison.  But the manager is so scared of putting the DH in the game no matter what it does to your defensive alignment.  Hell, put Sano at first and get his bat in the game.

You can chalk this up to Molitor refusing to use his best reliever when the situation called for it.

 

And Mauer's lack of RBI-ness, of course.

 

I'm only half kidding on Mauer.

Using Addison Reed to save the 7th inning and bridge the 8th was the right call. Without him, Rodney probably doesn't get a chance at a save in the 9th inning.

They blew an 8-1 lead.  I'm thinking the time to use Reed was when they still had a good chunk of that.

Those Twins who have been shifted against in this series should be laughed at for their arrogance and incompetence in not taking the easy base hit by bunting it down the 3B line.  Bunts may not be sexy but they can get the job done if placed right and they're basically giving you the single.

He’s already pitched WAY too much this year. It isn’t Paul Molitor’s fault that no one else is capable of getting outs.

 

Keep using Reed 2 innings every other day and see how long it takes for his arm to fall off.

It wasn't a question of if, it was a question of when.

 

So yeah, this was ENTIRELY on Molitor.

I've been holding out hope for Morrison, but he had like 5 pitches to hit that AB, and hit none of them.

 

I was sort of hoping that Sundown from Top Gun would meet him at the dugout stairs and yell "What do you mean, 'It didn't look good'? It doesn't get to look any better than that!"
