Article: Game Thread: Twins v Astros, 4/9 @ 7:10pm CT

In our house it's the other way around.

75 in summer, 68 in winter. (64 at night, except our bedroom is unavoidably colder than the rest of the house so it's probably closer to 60.)

My wife doesn't let me touch the thermostat.

This is the result of accidentally bumping it with my shoulder walking down the hall. She thought I set it at 90 and took away my privileges.

We are 67 during the day in winter, 62 at night (thermostat downstairs, bedroom upstairs). We have daycare in the house during the day, so we have to maintain a minimum of 65. In the summer it is generally set to 74 days and 72 at night. If it isn’t too humid though, we’ll shut it off and open windows.

Not that I believe gameday is gospel, but they posted consecutive pitches by Lynn at 88 MPH. One they called a change up, the other a two seam fastball.

If that isn’t wrong, that’s concerning to say the least.

I see 92 on the teevee radar display.

/ And yeah, I missed that RB ninja'd me many minutes before I even thought to post. :)

I do 62 at night and have it turn up to 65 about an hour before I get up.  Depending on what I am doing, will either leave it at 65 or put it up to 68.

I am in an older place with radiators, so no central air, but window unit keeps it to 80ish if necessary so the fish don't die a horrific death.  At this point I am not sure it is going to be above 50 again, so that might not be an issue any longer.

Actually nice to see Sano not throw that.

That was my thought as well, although it came after first thinking how that play made Sano look like a house cat that sprints into a room and then seemingly forgets why it's there.

A really, reeeally big house cat.

I'm actually Ok with that one... Tough play. Jake Marisnick has real good speed.

but he wasn't off balance, he was going towards 1, and it wasn't a slow roller.  Sano has a cannon.  He needs to throw that one.

Throwing it would have been more likely to be an error because the replay showed he didn't have a good grip on the ball.

yeah, and that would make it an error, right?  That he fielded it and didn't get hold of the ball.  that's not on the pitcher.

why, he should have thrown it.  He wasn't off balance and would have gotten him

Would totally agree if he were running mostly toward first as he threw. But his deflection shot/leading the target thing when throwing across his body is still a work in progress.

No scorer is calling that no throw an error. It's a tough play

That was a tough play for a MLB 3B? Agree to disagree. He fielded it.  If he doesn't get the ball stuck in his glove and instead grabs the ball cleanly and throws, the guy is out.
