Twins Still Pursuing Lance Lynn?

Heyman is also getting fed, by agents. I wouldn't universally trust him over LaVelle, or vice versa, but rather evaluate on a case-by-case basis -- and in this case, I would be rather surprised if the Twins got aggressive about adding another MLB FA pitcher, at this point.

Heyman has broken (and been right) on a ton more signings, trades, rumors etc then LaVelle has.

That's not a knock on LVIII just that I tend to take more notice when Heyman says something.

Why would you be surprised? The rotation last year was a dumpster fire, they have no real rookies ready to step in realistically, have a ton of question marks for this year and next year and effectively have only signed/traded for one real option thus far.

Sanchez is basically plan D at this stage.

I would be surprised because I think the FO views it very differently. I think they are satisfied with their current moves. I don't necessarily agree with that assessment, but I think that is what they believe, regardless of this Heyman report.

Disclaimer #1. The following is my opinion only. I have no documentation to back it up so don't ask. And because it is my opinion, don't write back to tell me I'm wrong. Opinions are neither right nor wrong (but may prove to be at a later time).

Why can't both Heyman and Lavelle be right. Maybe the front office is perfectly happy with the rotation starting the season (Lavelle) but haven't stopped looking for help (Heyman). I would hope that any front office, regardess of how happy they are with their team, would always be looking for any upgrade that is reasonable.

They could both be wrong, too. Maybe FalVine are distraught over the current state of the rotation, but have given up on there being any better alternatives out there. :)
