These auto expand ads are annoying as hell

Very annoying. Tell big lead sports or whoever to turn them off unless they are giving you a premium CPM for that garbage.

Like 20-30% of the time. And they auto expand if your mouse even hits them. Usually I wouldn't bitch, but a video starts, sound starts and it slows everything up.

 

Again, if they are paying you a premium CPM for them, keep em up, but if they are throwing them into the same CPM they are paying you then ask them to turn them off. (I know for a fact they will be willing to do so, just don't tell them David told you to

Good to know. I'll contact the ad host and figure out a solution. For some reason, they don't pop up often for me. I hate them as well but if I only see one once or twice a week (amidst the 1,000 or so page views I probably give the site in that time), I'm not going to get too upset about it. Obviously that's not the case with you two.

Obviously it could depend on the browser, geo location etc. and for some reason they really, really slow up my computer when the dumb things start playing.

 

If you guys are going to run those, they should at least give you a decent CPM of at least $2-$3 to make it worth it.

I haven't noticed them often; but on they occasions I do, it drives me crazy. It's certain computers only, as best as I can recall.

I'll second this. It's been a few days since they have been an issue (maybe the issue has been corrected) but AS SOON AS I would come to TD, one would pop up. Then again, ads that have the ability to take up your whole screen so you cant do anything but frantically search for the X to close them typically get a lot more under my skin then your typical banner ad.

The scrolling 160 x 600 is annoying as well.

 

Sorry I'm not trying to be a malcontent about it, and at the end of the day it's not going to keep me coming here. But if it is bugging me I guarantee its bugging other people.

 

If the 160 x 600 is a CPA or CPC ad then I guess its worth keeping, but if its a normal CPM banner ad, I don't think it justifys enough value to keep it scrolling. I'd almost prefer you just ran 2-3 160 x 600's in that space that don't scroll down the page.

We have only limited control over the ads we're delivered by Big Lead but we're working with them on this.
