I guess I'm late to the realization that NFL refs don't even try. Just call that not-even-nearly-a-fumble a TD, and let the video review crew make the actual decision. Sheesh.

Honestly, I have to wonder if it's done to keep the game close... just cannot be this bad. Seems home teams tend to get the better calls as well.

 

but this game was awful... no way around that. The non-calls were bad, and there were a lot of questionable calls against the Vikings to go with it.

Yep, that drive had an annoying sequence of events. Bad call on the WRs catch, bad defensive pass interference call, bad face mask call, and a bad TD call.

It was an annoying sequence, but all those calls struck me as correct.

This particular crew likes to "even out" the calls. So if one team gets some calls early, the other team will get some questionable calls later.
