Really solidify our Defense

How about offering Laquon Treadwell to the NYG for Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. DRC would really give us a good corner opposite Rhodes and let Waynes have a lesser role or good depth in case of an injury. In todays NFL, you can never have enough cover guys, and DRC might be available, since he has be in disfavor with the NYG. They need receivers, also.

Because if a team puts him on the field, he'll be quite good, imo.

I'd rather try to get Donald, since he's holding out......that would make this defense unreal, imo.

Don't you think there is a reason he doesn't play?

I'm guessing they'd love to have another good receiver on the field, especially with Diggs out.

From what I've heard, he's laughably awful at running routes in practice.

He's a bust, IMO.

practice? we talkin' 'bout practice? maaaan.

That said, I'm not defending the pick, or how they use him. I'm just saying I think when they throw him the ball, he's going to catch it, and that his catch radius is good. I have no idea if he can run routes well or not....

Most NFL throws are timing throws.

Occasionally, a play breaks down out of the pocket and it turns into sandlot football, but that's rare. Vast majority are timing throws, which means if you can't run precise routes, you can't play.

The QB is throwing to a spot where the receiver is supposed to be. Doesn't matter how open a guy is, or how good he catches the ball, if he's not where he's supposed to be.

the difference in route running isn't about being where he's supposed to be, it's about how you get there....most guys get to the spot, but the journey is what influences the DB.

That's a part too, but eventually getting to the right spot isn't helpful, you need to be there at almost the exact moment the QB is expecting you to be there.

In any case, thinking he's some hidden gem that the coaching staff is holding back (why?), despite being desperate for good WR's with Diggs and Floyd out is odd to me.
