"Now, as the postseason continues with the LCS round, the Red Sox are moving forward with their managerial search. They will reportedly interview Astros bench coach Alex Cora on Sunday, and have reached out to the Diamondbacks for permission to interview their bench coach Ron Gardenhire."

IMO Gardy's managerial style is best suited for a national league team.  But, myself (and many others I assume) believed he was still plenty capable of being a good manager when he left the Twins, just that the Twins needed a change at the time.  Can't say I know much about Cora, other than watching him be an average player a decade ago.  I'd have to assume Cora has a leg up from the fanbase, given that he was part of the Red Sox championship team in 2007.

Didn't realize the market for managers had slipped that much.  But, whatever, Red Sox, battle your tails off and hire the Gardy.

May end up being okay if he doesn't have to deal with young players, new to the league.

Oh wait.

Wow, false narratives have a lot of lasting power.
