UnF***ing believable!!!

Watched the game but busy with something and couldn't join in but had to here at the end.

WOW! I mean...just...WOW! Shame to HAVE to go extra innings, but the pitching has been outstanding over all, great fielding, a huge offensive game followed by back to back bottom of the 10th walk off HR by Rosario and Buxton!

I mean, other than if it was the WS, does it really get better than this?

I want to print up T-shirts that say: " I LOVE THIS TEAM!"

Vargas is what he is. The issue is not stealing, or using your hottest hitter to sacrifice, and then when you get lucky, not sacrificing when you should. Just awful.

I don't disagree but it's also perfectly acceptable to be irritated with Vargas for his sudden incompetence against LHP. Given his past performance and the current roster, the Twins could really use a not-awful Kennys Vargas.

You don't think the fans in the stands want to hear what the game-winner has to say?

Well I don't. Not right then. I want to watch them celebrate, and not have to listen to some blow hard announcer/interviewer ask the same redundant questions that have the same cliche answers. It always looks like the young player is totally uncomfortable, and usually it is all wound up and repeating themselves and isn't enjoying being put on the spot. " Well, I saw the pitch, and I swung at it, and got the barrel of the bat on the ball, and it went out. I was just looking for something to get a good swing on."  It is uncomfortable for them, and I feel that. And the announcer is usually lame, and wanting/needing attention, trying so hard to make the question of "tell us what happened" sound different. I feel that too. But maybe I am not the typical fan. But that is what I think. It is a relatively new thing, in the last several years. Putting them on the PA and all. Play the damn Twins song and all sing together. Show the highlights. Dance. Shut the damn PA off. It's not about getting off my lawn, or anything condescending and grumpy. I miss the sounds of baseball, and dislike the ever increasing desire of the admins to shove all that incessant loud volume from the PA at us in the form of advertisements, promotions, etc.

I agree.

They could just say "you're the player of the game, congratulations!" And have the player say, "thank you to these great fans!" And be done with it. The questions are awkward, the players want to go celebrate, and can't really concentrate on long, boring questions. Either make it really quick or stop with the interviews.

True story: As I was watching the game last night, right before the final pitch, I wondered to myself what it would look like for Buxton to hit a homerun, and how hitting is about confidence, and that he looked confident. I then wondered if he was thinking through what his swing would look like hitting the game winning home run. Then he hit it.

True story.

I believe the phrase "just try not to do too much" is used almost universally as well.
