Matt Carson.....that puts a lot of faith into the fans that the front office knows what its doin

Ya right.......in the last 5 years it really shows the front office know what they are doing. Does a player from JAPAN ring a bell!

News has it that Carson was promoted last night.

I doubt this is the case. I'm not saying that he wasn't promoted, I'm saying that he definitely wasn't promoted last night.

The Twins would have to make an additional move in order to promote Carson as he isn't on the 40-man roster and it is currently full.

As of now (12:58 PM EDT on Thursday) The official Twins' 25 man roster stands at 23.

The transactions of optioning Manship and Perdomo were recorded today, but Swarzak has yet to be activated and mystery position player to be identified. The Twins have an off day today and a late game at Seattle. Twins' players are still in the Twin Cities. I suspect that mystery player will meet them there and fly with the team but I do not know when they are leaving for Seattle.

The Red Wings beat writer in Rochester, NY, thinks that Parmelee is the most likely to go to the Twins, but incorrectly, he speaks about Swarzak's activation like it happened (which will happen but has not yet). So not sure whether he has inside information at this point.

The only reason Parmelee hasn't played more is that we've had a lucky amount of health at OF and 1B. That can't be counted on next year. And does it really matter if we have Doumit or Parmelee in RF as long as both are getting plenty at bats.

Well....the last time Parmalee was up he got a nice spot on the bench virtually every game he was here. If we call him up again - he needs to play. If that means Doumit sits quite a bit, so be it.

Who cares how bad he is in right field, lets see how he hits in 6 weeks and play him at 1st next year. It's not exactly like he's never played out there or will be exposed like a bad shortstop. If you can't give him OF playing time in a year like this it will never happen. They're going to move Morneau so they better see what they got out of this cat because he will be at 1st next season. If he hits in these next 6 weeks he's probably Mccarty proof because it's not like the league has never seen him before.

I agree. Parmalee needs to play almost every day the rest of the year (somewhere). If you play him in RF and he plays like Delmon and costs the Twins a game or two--who cares. The Twins are going to lose 90+ games anyway...

We need to know if Parmalee can hit MLB pitching. Until we know that--we dont know if we can trade Justin this winter.

The Twins need to be building for 2014--give Floriman, Benson, Dozier, Parmalee looks (maybe Hicks too). See who will be starting in 2014. And which vets you can trade for pitching and middle IF help.

I agree he needs to play if he comes back up, and he should come back up. I don't know if I'd be ready to anoint him Morneau's successor based on some success in September, he had a huge September last year and it didn't translate this spring. I'll concede he wasn't utilized that well at the time but he still struggled against real pitching.

Yup, heading into the season they were counting on him being the every day RF IIRC, but Revere out played him.

Briefly, it is spelled Parm E lee, not Parm A lee. It's a little thing, but it's driving me nuts as I read comments. I know that's as more my problem than anyone else's.

2nd, I agree with almost all of Riverbrian's comment, except that I've seen the quotes from Gardenhire saying he'd be happy to work out a rotation that gets Parmelee regular at-bats now.

I don't think the Carson call-up has anything to do with the manager's preference, just the FO wanting to reward Carson (who's been solid all year and hasn't gotten the 2 chances Parmelee has) and the reality that this is a very temporary situation. Parmelee will be up and playing in no time.

Thrylos, thanks for pointing out the Butera angle. That definitely would reassign some dead at-bats to a good cause.

This drives me nuts like a steering wheel in my pants. Same thing when people try to put a "c" into Hendriks.

Basically, you lose all credibility talking about players if you can't even spell their names.

Doug Mientskaeizkwisandwich called, he said there aren't any Twins fans with credibility.

I was told that it was a conference call with AJ Pierzynksxcuiki and Darrin Masreiuaonni was outside the door listening too
