Ok guys, I wouldn't normally do this, but it was a bit glaring in this episode. If you are going to be professional broadcasters, as Aaron states in the episode, let's get some names right. It's not tough and you don't even need to speak Spanish.

Jose Quintana is not Kwin - TAN - uh. It is keen - tahn- uh.

Stephen gonsalves. I think is probably pronounced steven.

Gimenez is not JIM -enez. It is he - MEN - ez. He might have told the broadcasters to say it wrong if he has anglosized it, but Spanish does not have our J sound. Let's give people the respect of saying their names correctly, especially when tens of thousands of people hear you. That said, I do enjoy the pod and listen every week so thank you.

I  agree on Quintana.

I would also note that I'm like 98% sure that John continues to pronounce Stephen as "Stefan" despite the fact that I've told him on several occasions that it's the normal "Steven" pronunciation just to get on my nerves. Now I just laugh cuz I know he's doing it on purpose. Ha!

As for Chris Gimenez, John and Aaron are correct. From Phil Miller's spring training article on him:

You don’t know Gimenez. (It’s pronounced JIM-inez; he’s not Latino, but a Californian whose grand-grandfather emigrated to the U.S. from Spain.)
