Another thing that frustrates me about Gibson is that the man is probably one of the best fielding pitchers I've ever seen. Were Gibson to ever get things together, he probably would stand a good chance of winning a gold glove.

Strat-O-Matic Report
Top of the 7th

-Will Harris now pitching-
Gimenez homers! (HOU 7-5)
Adrianza doubles.
Dozier strikes out swinging.
Grossman reaches on bad throw from P Harris, Adrianza scores, Grossman to second (HOU 7-6).
Sano singles, Grossman to third.
-Chris Devenski now pitching-
Kepler grounds into a double play.

Wow, the Twins are within a run! Too bad Kepler had to ground into a double play. We have one run games in both reality and simulation-world.

phew.

commercial breaks always get me to thinking.

I think blackboards and dry erase boards are two truly remarkable inventions.

Is there a punchline to this thought?

If not, I admire how you can post something that has nothing to do with anything. I mean it!

Impressive and entertaining.

Pretty sure that ground ball was foul. Too bad for Hildenberger, it should have been a good outing for him, but then bad throws and questionable calls happen.

Ball was fair.  Bounced in fair territory, went over the bag and barely landed on the foul side after the bag. No way it didn't go over the bag in fair territory.

Just about the worst exhibition of baseball imaginable.

GIbson is allowed to come out for the seventh, for no good reason apparently.  Walks the leadoff hitter.

THEN Molitor decides he's seen enough from GIbson.

The runner knows he can get a jump on Hildenburger, and starts before Hildenburger even begins his motion to the plate.  Easy out if you're just paying attention.

Then you get exactly what you need, a ground ball to third, which should have prevented the runner from advancing.  But Escobar never looks at the runner, who was 30 feet off second base and a dead duck (if Dozier is moving to second like he should be), and the runner takes off for third on the throw.    Overthrow, run.

Double down the line, runner notices the Boshers is paying no attention.  Steals third.  Then comes home on a strikeout in the dirt, because the Twins can't execute a throw to first and back home in time.

Awful.  And a lot of that is on the manager.

I agree. The disparity of talent and management between the twins and astros is rivaling the Grand Canyon. At least the Houston fans are being rewarded for enduring several horrid seasons. We've been bad for even longer than they were. Seems like we've barely even started to rebuild and they should challenge for the WS

What's the point of sending GIbson out there for the seventh, if you're just going to take him out after one hitter anyway?

Honestly, Molitor is awful at running a pitching staff.

Seriously, that's why former catchers make good managers, cuz they get it. Madden, Sciocia, Girardi, Hinch, Ausmus, Melvin, etc.

Wow, we've tied it up! We were down 6-0 at one point! Is this one going to go to extra innings?
