Santana's last 20 IP....34 hits, 16 runs

That is a stupid ugly line.

Will the all-star break help him out? Is there an underlying physical problem? Is he going to be a DL candidate?

We were already down to two real pitchers. We really need him to be legit if we want to hang in there at all.

Yep, Santana, berrios then 3 days of rain only works if Santana performs

So if Sano, Dozier, and Santana aren't on, who do we really have on the team? Berrios, sure. Who else? Grossman and Mauer can get on base. Buxton can play defense.

We've got a lot of underperformers right now. I'm not counting Breslow's veteran leadership.

The further along we get in this season the more holes in the lineup become apparent.

Yet there is no room for Zach Granite on this team!

Yep. Lots of bats struggling, namely sano and Kepler. Santana has been awfully shaky for the last month or so. We're calling up a guy from AA to start one of the games tomorrow. We know we have 2 or 3 decent BP arms, that's about it. And recently the defense has been shaky. I guess at the end of the day, it's hard to expect a team one year removed from a franchise loss record to turn things around and compete all year. Seems as if the wheels are slowly coming off, the Cleveland series aside.

Zack Granite's best hope is to be a poor man's Ben Revere. He wouldn't help.

We need real pitchers, Sano to break out of his slump, Buxton to make more contact, and a bullpen that isn't half-full of ineffective retreads.

If you're waiting on Zack Granite to fix this team, you'll be waiting forever. Sorry, bud.
