Well. If the Twins do hang on to win, they will need to get 9 more outs (12 total) from the pen. Probably from at least 3 different relievers. Meanwhile, the Indians will likely only need 7 from theirs. Most likely from one or two guys.

This is how you get an overworked bullpen. The Twins need to get more innings out of their starters.

Like Mejia's stuff overall. Has the build to suggest stamina as long as he keeps things under control. Learns to economize/learn the further nuances of pitching, I think he's going to be OK. #3 capable? Maybe. But just a good #4 is acceptable.

Going back to the original and more important topic...as someone born and raised initially in South Dakota, who has lived most of his life in Nebraska, and who has often visited Kansas, I can offer my own perspective.

Northern SD may be green, but is probably as desolate in regard to traffic or civilization than anywhere but Wyoming and the desert states. Nebraska is miles and miles of flat and fields with windbreaks of trees. Kansas is far, far ahead of both states in regard to rusted automobiles off the road and anti-abortion signs.

Just saying.

Yes, a semi-serious post may violate one of the unwritten rules of baseball game threads, but I want to say that I'm glad the FO didn't trade Dozier for Jose DL.

I am fine with it too. And what else they were offered will always remain "the one that got away..."

Go ahead. Unwritten rules apparently weren't made to be not broken.

Did i fix it good?

Been down for Twins game to KC and I couldn't believe all the duck taped broken windows or car parts that I saw...is it a State insurance thing or something else? And these were moving cars      ;)

That Latroy Hawkins in the booth? Like what I hear so far after just tuning in.

I like LaTroy in the booth too, he's good. I think he talks over the game a bit too much sometimes...he's not yet comfortable with those silent moments. But he's getting there!

After hearing each guest broadcasters multiple times now I'm going to have to say LaTroy Hawkins is my favorite. Wouldn't mind him getting the full time gig if Bert or Dick ever leaves.

How about Hawkins as the play-by-play man and Hunter as the color guy? That would be a fun broadcast team! Frankly I'd rather have Hunter managing the team than in the booth. Hopefully next year...
