Buddy had 9 pitches in his inning of relief, Why not trot him out there for another go? 9 pitches.

He's a marginal lefty that was about to face a bunch of rhp at the top of the order.

Probably didn't want to use Duffey and Rogers and Kintzler probably were being saved for 8th and 9th.

I get the angst, but not like Molitor has many options here.

Rogers didn't pitch Friday or Saturday.

Molitor had the option of not letting Belisle turn a 1 run lead into a 3 run deficit before he decided to get off his *** and remove him.  He clearly was in trouble from the first hitter.

I think I've seen enough of Wimmers too... They may have to start scraping the bottom of the barrel to find competent relievers.

Wimmers was the bottom of the barrel. Busenitz, Hildenberger, Curtiss, and Melotakis are the actual prospects who should be getting a chance right now.

I'm not sure I've seen a strike on gameday where the one is that buxton just swung at

New strategy....... swing at obvious horrible pitches that were balls coming out of the hand that even the catcher won't be able to catch, and try to beat the throw to first.

Rogers was set up to pitch the 8th. They can't start blowing through him too, he's pitched a lot of games.

Maybe remove him earlier, but Wimmers was the next option. I'm not sure that's an upgrade.

Might be time for another prospect to get a crack at it.

Still think Pressly gets another chance first.

Maybe Belisle dfa, Pressly back.

Feel the excitement.

Meh. Not sure if I want to see Pressly back so soon. I'd rather him stay down another month or 2. Unless something has clicked over the last 2 weeks it will be the same results we saw before.

I like the post about  "sore shoulder" DL stint for Belisle. . Something is clearly wrong. He can't suck this hard, can he?

He most certainly can suck this hard. He wasn't getting results on his stuff.... IIRC, he was a guy who got by nibbling the corners of the strike zone and getting ground balls.

He's been bad all year. I think someone in the Twins brain trust thought Belisle would get his act together.

They were wrong.

Belisle pitched yesterday.  Why in heaven's name do you just let him blow a game like that?

There is no defending Molitor here.  Much like when he had two fresh arms brought up SPECIFICALLY because he had a spent pen, and then let the spent pen **** away a 6 run lead.

He doesn't have good options, agreed.  That's not his fault, but it makes it even more critical he uses what he has wisely.

Today was not wise.

Hmm, I think someone really really smart once said "the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results."
