MLBTV- WTF?!?!

What is going on with mlbtv?  Recently, I get this constant warning that "content is only available with adobe flash," and not allowing me to watch games.  There is, of course, a "helpful" link to download flash, but I already have it, and auto-updates with chrome or IE.  

 

Is anybody else having this issue?

I haven't had that issue. Flash is evil.

yes, I have had the same error using chrome, and I know everything is up to date. So now I have to use the microsoft browser for MLB.TV

It could be an operating system/browser issue...

With the latest version of the Windows after the latest update a few weeks ago, I have to use MS Edge to get MLB.tv.

If Chrome, maybe try whitelisting the mlb.com and m.mlb.com domains.

I did, on the top right you should see a puzzle piece. hit it and enable all plugins. It began happening to me about a week ago.

Thanks, H-  I was prompted to do that, but of course, as so often happens, no such thing appeared on my page.

 

No legit, decipherable, help on adobe, chrome, or mlb sites. For those of us of a certain generation, it's incredibly frustrating to keep going around in circles like that. Finally, though, contacted a real human person through mlb help chat feature who was able to help out.

 

This is how I finally got it fixed:

chrome://flags/#prefer-html-over-flash    cut-n-paste, 

then disabled something called "Prefer HTML over Flash" - which was highlighted

 

Done.
