Hot dogs are all good, and everything sounds tasty.

I get a perverse joy from how runny peanutbutter gets on a hot dog.

My dad didn't like hot dogs. Nor did he like mustard. Bu apparently one day he was particularly hungry and tried them together, and lo and behold, they were good together. So hopefully i learned from his example to have what is commonly termed "an open mind."

After giving up eating meat 18 years ago, one of the few things that I genuinely missed was good sausage. After trying out hundreds of abominations pretending to be sausages or hot dogs, I finally found the veggie sausage of my dreams and they are made in ... Seattle.

Seriously, if you even have a need/want for a really tasty veggie sausage or hot dog, try Field Roast. Whole Foods carries them (and a lot of other places in Portland, at least). Field Roast franks on a good roll with actual French mustard (Fallot is my favorite) and my wife's green tomato relish. Yum!

Today's prank: Told a co-worker I got a hot lead from the Austin Zoo that they need our services.

Told her to call and ask for Jay Raffe. If he wasn't available, ask for Jim Panzie.

She fell for it.

I don't get it.... :)

How long did it take before she figured it out?

How do you feel about chili dogs?

I'm really not that much of a hot dog eater except for occasionally at a game. But I have had a chili dog with cheese in my past. It was okay. All depends on how good the chili is and the quality of hot dog.

As opposed to bright green relish, wedges of tomato, chopped white onion, a dill pickle spear, pickled sport peppers and celery salt? Yeah ... no comment. I can't throw stones at what Seattle does with their hot dogs.

That is God's own recipe.

So my team has been having a prank war over the last 2 weeks. Some are nearing the edge of crossing the line... It first started with replacing my co-worker's family pictures with pics of her celebrity crush Brad Pitt. Others bought fake cockroaches and scattered them around the office.

It's now evolved to a person making a craigslist ad saying there's an above garage apartment available for rent with my phone number... I rebutted by signing him up for Farmersonly.com yesterday.

My favorite prank: Telling someone you did something just to watch them freak out. Less effort than actually doing something.

Just for the heck of it--

On the way to work, I pass the old HK airport, the big silver thingy in the harbor photo above. Never had the pleasure of flying into that one, as it closed in 1998. But, in the middle of a majorly-crowded big city, with big hills on both sides, and a sharp turn required right before you land- I'm just amazed at the skill of landing one of those 747's there, back in the day. The final approach took them right over one of the most densely-packed metro areas in the entire world- Kowloon City. The buildings could be no more than 6 stories there, and it seemed like the planes could take the laundry right off the lines as they came in.

Lots of great cockpit videos out there, but here's a couple of my faves:
