Why not start Rosario to provide the best possible defense behind Berrios? It makes zero sense to want him to clean some stuff up and then ask him to make his debut with one of the worst OF in baseball covering LF. Seems like you would want to stack the deck to try for a successful start. Is Paul thinking about this at all?

This game can't start soon enough. I'm at a liquor store in Tualatin, Oregon, doing a whiskey demo. It's incredibly slow and I am wearing down my battery waiting to see what you all post.

 

Forget the posts for now. Just spend some quality time with your whiskey.

Also if you have Grossman on the bench you have a another switch hitter on the bench to pinch hit if necessary later in the game. Although I suppose Escobar is a bigger home run threat.

The one alternative that comes to mind at present would be some kind of low-rent variant of the Dance of the 7 Veils using kleenex instead, but only Chief could pull off a joke so labored.

About 20-0, perfect game for Berrios on 27 pitches. I hope I'm not asking for too much. Or that I'm jinxing the game.
