I'm betting that the 1,000,000th post will happen on June 20, 2020. Book it.

That's probably pretty close. We were averaging about 100k posts per year for the first few years but now it's somewhere around 130-150k posts per year.

400k posts in about three years should be close, if not a bit on the conservative side.

There won't be an internet in 3 years. Hope you all know how to hunt.

j/k.

It's a great site. What was the 500,000th post?

I'm guessing something about Sano being overweight or being a terrible option in RF....

No idea. Tracking which post was 500,000th would be a pain in the ass. The database tracks posts in order, giving them a numerical value from one onward.

But posts are deleted, particularly spam posts. According to the database, the 500,000th post would have been something like 506,382.

Whereas the post we see listed on the forum index removes those deleted posts and just spits out a counting number.

I used to be an IT guy.....

What happened? Frankly I'm wondering how our IT guy has a job... Spent an hour with him on the phone today and he was just as confused as me.

Crazy, isn't it?

Only 15 responses, counting this one? Your troll-fu is weak, grasshopper.

Oh, I know, just ribbing you.

Though it is funny how often project managers confuse those two things.

"You're being lazy!"

"No, I just think this is stupid and don't really give enough of a **** to fight you on it. There's a Star Wars Celebration livestream in 45 minutes and I'm hoping that if I don't say anything, you'll run out of things to talk about and I can go watch it."

I'll go with something about Mauer making too much money and slapping too many singles.

Well there you have it, you can call yourself one of the 1%. Esteemed company.

Yes, I guess so. Some more esteemed than others.

The percentage will definitely fall some this year.
