Article: Game Thread: Twins @ White Sox, 4/7@7:10pm CT

Recommended Posts

Though very sunny it is indeed chilly today in Chicago.  Both baseball stadiums in town tend to get miserably cold when this time of year when it is windy and there is enough wind for that to be the case today.

The games over the weekend however should be perfect, 60s and 70s.

Currently searching for pizza places in Portland, as my wife just texted that beer and pizza seemed like good ideas. If I didn't know better, I'd swear that the most awesome person I've ever met is on this thread....

Nice when the wife and husband are on the same page. How does your wife feel about Art?

We have similar tastes, though I like modern a bit more usually. I'd probably spend more on it, which is true of most things, actually. We both really like live music, if you include that in the definition....

maybe we should have a music thread.....

but I'm big on guitars, so Arctic Monkeys and Black Keys are up there recently.

We just saw Mike Doughty in Portland, stood about 10 feet away the whole show, in a tiny place, was great. one of my favorite poets as singers.

With the night game, I have no idea what I suppose to spend my time doing at work today...

I know right? I've spent the last 2 days watching the games in their entirety at my desk due to it being painfully slow in the plumbing sales world.

It'll be good to play someone else to get an idea of where this team actually is.

Not that the Sox are any good. But, I'm still skeptical that the last series wasn't more of a result of the Royals being terrible.

I haven't seen a lineup yet, but I'm hoping I see:

Dozier, 2B

Polanco, SS

Sano, 3B

Mauer, 1B

Kepler, RF

Castro, C

Rosario, LF

Buxton, CF

Grossman, DH

Last 3 are interchangeable. But, I'd like some some speed (Rosario/Buxton) and/or a guy who can get on base (Grossman) when the lineup turns over to the team's best hitters.

Not a huge fan of Buxton being a blackhole in the top third of the lineup until he figures some things out.
