Why Are You Going to Watch Twins Games in April?

I'll watch the games so the game threads make some sense.

And by some, I mean very, very little, bordering on zero sense. Like always.

You would be surprised by the number of game threads I participated in, without watching the game or listening to the game. Usually I was neck deep in photoshopping pictures for RiverBrian - not that I am complaining or anything of that nature.

Speaking of....

This thread has been an ELABORATE RUSE.... We now know people are going to be watching games in April.

So volunteer for a game thread in April damnit!

Chief, I've reeled them in for you. You know what to do now....

When I watch, it will be strictly based upon watching the offense and the outfield defense. Both have a chance to be really good and that will make it a viewing pleasure.

I am also obsessed with Rosario, I think big things are in store for him going forward.

I never watch, and sometimes I have no idea what is going on in the threads, even though I can't recall any actual game discussions...

That is me in 85% of game threads.

I'm going to watch because, while this Opening Day roster is frustrating, there's a lot of talent on this team that will be exciting to watch.

Too many are writing off this team. Yeah, this pitching staff has a low ceiling but what happens if Dozier, Buxton, and Sano hit at an .800 clip through April? Not only is that exciting baseball but I'm not ready to concede this team will be terrible before a single game is played.

1. It's baseball, I love it.

2. The ballpark. Target Field is great.

3. Byron Buxton. Could be the most exciting player in baseball.

To be honest though, I'll likely watch more of the minor league games on MiLB.TV than usual instead of the Twins.

Out of curiosity is an MiLB.TV subscription a separate cost from MLB.tv?

I'll miss the first 3 games driving back to Minnesota, but will be watching very closely the rest of the season.

A couple of the things I'm interested in right off the bat is can Max start to hit, and is Sano a bust or not.  Both have worked very, very hard this spring with nothing to show for it yet. Is this new hitting coach helping?  Max hit off a tee for 2 hours the other day with Torii.  Can Gibson continue his success, and how much will we miss Park?  This should be an interesting and frustrating season.

Yes, but I believe it's only $30 a year. Unfortunately, Chattanooga home games are unavailable. Broadcasts are hit and miss. Most Triple A broadcasts are great, as are the ones for Cedar Rapids.

Thanks for the info. That's too bad about Chattanooga games being unavailable... They have the most exciting rotation in the organization!

I'm going to watch the Twins all season, because as awful as they have been for years, bad Twins baseball is still better than no Twins baseball. And despite all my doom and gloom, there certainly are some players that I'm excited to watch. And I can talk trash about the rest of them in game day threads.

I will watch all day games, because hey, it's something awesome to have on during a work day. I will prob catch 6-8 games as usual at Target field on various work trips and vacation, and prob a few others around the country as well as schedules align.

Evening games though? Personally I hope the Wild are taking up evenings well into June :) and if the Twins fall out of it early it won't be much more than background noise unfortunately.

Will be interesting to see how poor attendance is after opening day, I could see games 2-3-4 averaging under 15k.

Kinda describes the Twins World Series rosters, doesn't it?  Yes, the '87 and '91 teams an 'ace' and a closer, but the rest of pretty, meh.

The successful path in life is to be Offensive.  Or something like that    ;)

I'll listen to most every game, watch a few on TV, might go to TF a couple times this year. Before we had kids my wife and I went to close to 1/3 to half of the home games and one or two away games per year.

Now, if I can get a babysitter, a baseball game is too late. That and Daycare is bat-poop crazy expensive and TF is just like Daycare, compared to that crappy old dome.

But yeah, I'll be just as ravenous as always. I'm curious about Levine's moves. I'm curious if Molly can earn a 4th season. I'm really excited for Buck, Sano, Rosie, Kep and Polanco. I hope Byungho can earn the everyday or majority of first base duties.

I hope Mejia and Berrios can firmly entrench themselves in the rotation.

I hope things break well for them. God I'm sick of losing

I work at home now, so I'll be "watching" most every game and I can't freaking wait. When baseball is happening every day, I feel like a whole person. When it isn't, there's something missing. I've got that pep in my step right now, just as a matter of anticipation.

Used to go to 10-15 games a year when I lived back home. But, this year, Twins are facing the NL West in interleague, so I'll be at dodger stadium, and I'm planning on going to Oaktown too.
