Article: NOW AVAILABLE: 2017 Twins Prospect Handbook

Recommended Posts

Whether you knew it or not, this is the moment you've long been waiting for: You can now get your hands on the 2017 Twins Prospect Handbook.

Just shy of 170 minor leagues are profiled in the now-available book. But that's not all! Prospect rankings, a wide-variety of articles and more are also included.Seth Stohs, Cody Christie and myself have spent countless hours on the ninth annual prospect handbook. We say it every year - and we'll say it again anyway - this year's is our favorite.

We love it. We know you'll love it too.

To meet your needs, the book is available in both paperback ($15.99) and as an ebook ($10.99).

You also have the opportunity to purchase prior editions at an even further reduced rate.

Oh, and if you haven't got that coupon code yet... there might be one hiding here.

Thank you for your support of us and Twins Daily. Here's to a great 2017!

I was hoping a Dozier trade would happen first so the new prospects would be included. Book ordered. Can't wait for it to arrive. Yeah, I went paper copy. Im old school that way.

It's OK to do both. Ha!

For me it's fun to see people skimming through it while at a Twins game or spring training, or seeing pictures of people getting autographs in it. That's why it will always be available as a paperback.

But the pdf also has its advantages too. 1.) it's on your computer, and 2.) it's available to download as soon as it is purchased. You don't have to wait a week or ten days to start reading it.

I've talked to a lot of people who order the paperback to get that process going and then buy the pdf just to start on it right away. Ha!

I am curious... those of you who read this... how many of the Handbooks do you have? Which ones?

Just watch, the day you release this the Twins trade Dozier and add two (three?) new prospects . . .

Yeah, that was my prediction over the weekend. Someone asked me when the Dozier trade would go down, and I said that it would happen a couple of days after the Handbook came out... so, we're looking at the next couple of days for a Dozier deal.

This is my 3rd or 4th straight year...I can't remember for sure. I know I had one before you started with the cool covers...I think my first was an all red cover.

Darren Wolfson discussed and highlighted the 2017 Twins Prospect Handbook in his Scoops podcast this week.

Also includes information on Brian Dozier.

I assume people already are listening to The Scoops podcast, but if not, listen here...

I feel like the only time I did that was the first year (2009?), and that took me over a day to get everything signed and shipped and such.  Uffdah.

You got them all to sign in a day??  I didn't get mine til after Spring Training last year, got a few of them to sign.  I'll probably finish up last year's before starting up on this year's book!

But I will tell you the players LOVE to read about themselves and friends.  I can't count the number of days where my book would disappear off the bleachers and guys like Fernando Romero, Miguel Guzman, Johan Quezada and Yorman Landa would have the Handbook sifting thru the player recaps and stories.

Even the opposing teams love it, Red Sox prospects Michael Kopech (now a ChiSox) and Michael Chavis spent a whole game going thru the book and afterward were asking where the book was on them.

I think Seth means he autographed them....

Up to 95 prospects' autographs so far in my Twins Prospect Handbook!

Over 105 prospect autographs at this point in the Handbook, had to go to an opposite list of who I don't have to make it easier.  As of right now, think I'm down to 32 prospects (mainly pitchers) who haven't signed yet that are still with the organization.
