The Chargers released DJ Fluker. He didn't exactly live up to his draft hype but he's no slouch and a better RG or RT than the team has now (which actually might be nothing). Just another possibility for the O Line, there are starting to be some options thankfully.

I just don't want the team to give out real money to a RB. Spend the money on the line and gamble on a low money/league minimum deal for a RB. There isn't a back out there that doesn't look like a crap shoot anyway. Might be a good idea to spend a little bit on another DB also.

ricky Wagner at RT, Fluker at RG, draft a C in round 2, sign a RB and DL in FA that aren't SUPER expensive. Win the off season.

Oh, and sign random older OT to play LT for not huge money.

I might be interested in Nick Mangold for a center or guard spot too. If memory serves he's been a pretty ornery kind of player and he sounds like he has a chip on his shoulder also. I usually like those guys on the O line.

I think Sparano might have coached him at some point, for some reason that's in my head...

I liked Munnerlyn, it's a shame. Vikings brought in ex Pakcers Lacy and Datone Jones in for looks. Frankly I'm tired of them doing this, let's not give that team more ammunition by letting them claim we take their hand-me-downs.

I agree, it's become a running bit every off-season that they bring in former Packers for visits. Though I would have gladly taken one of their hand-me-downs with TJ Lang... Too bad he's a Lion now.

I feel like the Vikings have made solid moves so far this offseason. Both OT's spots and LG are set. They could probably sign another interior lineman and DT for depth. Then for the draft, 8 picks, I'd go:

2 offensive lineman

1 running back

1 defensive lineman

1 safety

1 corner back

1 tight end

1 line backer

I wouldn't draft in the order specifically but I did list the positions in order of importance / need.

I've never heard of this guy before, but that's not saying much!

Per Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press on Twitter:

"Source says #Vikings one of four teams in mix to sign free-agent DB Nickell Robey-Coleman. Could be slot replacement for Captain Munnerlyn."

He played in Buffalo last year, and FWIW, was ranked as PFF's #33 overall corner.

Probably going to have to draft a punter as well.

Locke signed with Indy...and no, he was not good.

Huh, guess I missed that. Been too busy and too sick to follow the start of the offseason.

I know Locke sucked in previous years and started this year slow, but by midseason he was rating out well and had a some great kicks to flip field position that played a big role in the outcome of the game. It seemed he had turned a corner.

He did.... Then turned back into the sucky version for the last 5-6 games. Don't remember the exact game, but I think it was at home in the dome, and he had 3 punts in a row of less than 20 yards.

I completely forgot we need a punter as well. Maybe we sign another CB or DT in free agency and then don't draft one in April.

We are pretty thin at WR - Diggs and Thielen, Treadwell who did nothing last year and Wright who was in the doghouse.  Unless Boehringer comes out of nowhere.  Glad we traded those 4 picks to move up to get Cordarrelle only to let him walk.  He openly tweeted he hoped to come back to Minnesota so I guess we really did not want him.

My random Vikings thoughts of the day:

I wonder how much Patterson got. WR or not, he was really good in the return game.

The last CB the Vikings got from Buffalo worked out quite well, so I hope they snag this new guy.

I hope the team doesn't blow a pick on a punter again, there will be usable free agents available later.

Losing Patterson and having so many other needs in the draft, I'm betting that the team will end up signing some vet receiver on the cheap. He'll probably be on his last legs but the local media will write stories about the leadership he brings to the young receiving corp.

My confidence in Spielman is at an all time low. I'm really struggling to connect the dots on this off season's game plan, it kind of looks like they're just winging it from here. Though admittedly my view is from the sideline.

Still waiting for some playoff wins...so far, Spielman and Zimmer have given us nothing.

I don't see Patterson getting a lot of touches in Oakland, TBH.. They have Cooper and Crabtree already getting a lion's share of targets. It's possible that they're thinking he could be a hybrid RB/WR/KR for them.

The Vikes certainly need a replacement for Captain.... Alexander has a long ways to go in order to be a serviceable CB in this league. He looked completely lost in the limited time he's played so far.

My confidence in Spielman is also at an all-time low right now. They had a lot of work to do this off-season rebuilding the OL, and now they're creating more needs on the list. I hope they're not relying on their draft picks from last year stepping into key roles this season. That was one of the worst draft classes in a long time for this team.

Man, that list of remaining WRs does absolutely nothing for me. I guess we have to hope Treadwell gets better.

I agree, I still think the Vikings sign one though. For no other reason than the fact that it just seems like a Vikings move, I'll predict Stevie Johnson.

I kind of like Kamar Aiken but he's a possession/slot guy which is probably the same role that Diggs, Thelan and Wright should all be playing.

If I were to get a guy, I'd take a shot at Brian Quick.

I wouldn't write off that class yet. Too early.

EVERY playoff team had 1 or more starter from last year's class. Treadwell caught 1 pass. Alexander embarrassed himself. Beavers was rated one of the worst over reaches by two sites last year, and didn't play *much* despite a historically bad OL.

Why should I feel good about it?
