Has anyone watched the "Get Me Roger Stone" doc on Netflix? That is probably the most cynical person I've ever seen. Like, clinical.

 

He claims to draw the line at "whatever the law allows" but after watching that its hard to believe conspiring with the Russians in an election would be beneath his moral code.

This is what I think the Russians wanted ... a **** show, confusion, no one really in charge ... and for what, I ask ... the answer to that is more than worrisome. There is an end game here, I feel, that no one seems concerned about because all the daily distractions and complete incompetence in Washington.

I suspect chaos in and of itself is plenty. But Russia also wants the US out of Syria (done), a repeal of sanctions (working on it), and more of a free hand in Eastern Europe (not yet, but bodies are piling up). 

 

The dream, of course, is the fracture NATO, but we are long ways away from that.

The end-game is likely to collapse the U.S. in the same manner as the USSR. Payback on the Cold War.

I doubt the **** show resulting from Trump's election was part of some grand plan by Putin. If anything maybe it shows a lack of understanding of American politics and the strength of institutions like the FBI.

 

Manafort and others in Trump's circle (including Stone) have quite a bit of history in the Ukraine. I'm guessing Russia got involved to further its interests there.

If he somehow pardons himself and his family, I think we are looking at the kind of thing 2nd Amendment people talk about all the time.....but I doubt they'll see it that way.

So wouldn't they actually need to be indicted at a minimum in order to be pardoned?

I don't think Nixon was indicted before Ford pardoned him.  At the very least he had not been convicted. 

 

Trump seems very centered and grounded this morning, dispensing words of wisdom that are reassuring.  Truly the right leader for a troubled times.  Plus, his party has the morals and conviction to take any necessary steps in putting the countries needs above their own.

Sigh....how long before he somehow incorporates his name into the organization.  Nice to know there is no event that he cannot be petty against his enemies and make it all about himself.

Can we just make the current presidency a reality show on MTV vs the typical media? Not demonstrably different than what we typically get on a daily basis, but at least it would be in a place I can more easily avoid.

He's going off the deep end.... Extra crazy is right. Sure, let's go ahead and set back the clock 30 years by discriminating against a subset of people. 

Yeah and some *******s in the White House admitted/suggested that it was done to make it hard for Democrats in rust belt states to get re-elected because they'd have to support transgendered peoples rights.
