POTUS Donald Trump

Trump blaming this loss on the Dems is so delicious.

Can't wait until his tax reform bill and "build the wallllllll" 5 billion dollar ask fails as well.

Such a great statesman:

I guess, I can’t be doing so badly, because I’m president, and you’re not.

The Onion must be going out of business, because they cannot top the real thing.  His rationalization for how his lies are not lies is grade school level:

Sadly, I am not joking about this next statement - he is going to be mad the cover does not have his picture or name on it.  He will probably saying "failing Time  magazine - would have sold more copies with me on the cover.  Sad!"

That "interview" was insane......

Important not to forgot that Trump and his family has already made hundreds of millions, if not billions, from being President. I wouldn't say that his inability to pass legislation that he doesn't care about means he is a failure.

Caligula had a pretty good time in office to begin with, too. Right up until the Praetorian Guard and the Senate offed him.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think this ends well for Trump. I'm not sure the next President will be as quick to pardon him either.

Trump gave Merkel an invoice for $300 billion when she visited last week.

I just assumed you were joking -- but he actually did this.  He still manages to surprise me from time to time.

I am waiting for his sharp rebuke to Russia for the mass arrest of protesters.

While this health care bill is only one bill, I think it shows the fractures in the gop. The Koch message was pretty clear about financing opponents to those who vote for the bill. The moderates were completely ignored and talked down to. Trump could very well drive wedges deeper into the party than already exist.

Meanwhile, democrats are still doing Democrat things. Indivisible is growing and showing up at town halls. We'll see how long the momentum lasts.

Profit for a billionaire is nice, but I believe Trump entered politics because of narcissism and maybe a sense of duty. He seems to want to be recognized as the best and the most and IMHO he is the best example of the most unqualified person to become president. If we are measuring his contribution, I doubt that even with majorities in both the House and Senate that history will judge him kindly.

One of my Facebook friends just posted a Reba McIntire video. The video is a religious song, the commentary provided by Proud-patriot.com says in part "Not everybody is estranged from God. Donald Trump came out of nowhere to bring the message of unity, peace and the almighty God".

The song is a nice Christian piece and I don't object to people looking to go back to their faith, but where do these people come from? Peace? Unity? I'll add acceptance and helping those that need help.

There's more of course. Donald Trump is going to make it okay to say "Merry Christmas" again and put the Lord back in the pledge of allegiance. The site goes on to infer that all liberals are godless and that this country was founded on faith.

For some reason this crap makes my blood boil more than most. The idea that conservatism is God's way irks my churchgoing self.

It seems that, to the right-leaning Christian voting bloc, "unity" means "do what I say and think like me".

Freedom to be white, straight, and a certain kind of Christian (while allowing the government to spy on you at will). That seems to be what "freedom" means to many of them.

The article below is not new behavior for him, but it really bugs me when he takes credit for things that did not involve him.

He has no shame and no shame and no sense of decency, and the fact that this was pretty obvious before the election and people still voted for him is disheartening.  I will rant about how he sells out the environment to please his pet industries with no regard for long term effects in some other post.

http://www.nbcnews.com/business/autos/trump-flaunts-ford-s-1-2b-investment-ford-says-it-n739476

Ford will invest $1.2 billion in three Michigan facilities, a move signaled overnight through a tweet from President Donald Trump — though Ford had originally planned to make the official announcement itself at a Tuesday meeting with Michigan officials.

While Trump was quick to take credit for the investment, the plan is "consistent with what we announced previously," Joe Hinrichs, Ford's President of the Americas, told NBC News, noting that all three projects were in the works well before Trump took office — the largest, involving an $850 million assembly plant investment, approved as part of a deal with the United Auto Workers Union in 2015.

Trump's on again / off again twitter war against Ford has been totally self-serving but does he deserve some credit for Ford's investment decisions? It kinda sounds like Ford cancelled plans at the San Luis project (Mexico), and decided to invest in a data center at the Flat Rock Assembly plant because of him. At least he seemed to be a factor.

I don't believe for 1 minute companies are making decisions with decades' long implications based on Trump being POTUS. OTOH, now that I think about it, I do. It hurts the brain, but I do.

Devin Nunes' behavior and actions convince me that something is terribly wrong. Why would one behave the way he has if there was nothing to cover up. Everyday that I watch cable news and see these politicians give interviews and play the party blame game, it disgusts me. It is bad acting.

D.C. is a pig that needs to be gutted and everything inside of it it needs to be incinerated and not consumed. I'd rather have squirrels and rabbits lead this country and dictate law and policy.

His behavior is pretty alarming to me as well.  It indicates some real shady stuff is happening behind the scenes.

I have a question on the Gorsuch for SCOTUS dilemma. This is not something I am well versed in, so pardon me if this does not come off all all that great.

It seems like the Dems are going to block his appointment and from what I read and hear he seems to be  considered a moderate. I think that would be a bad play for the Dems. With this grotesque stubborn divide between the Reps and Dems wouldn't it look favorably upon the Dems for playing ball? Are there not more important battles to throw their resources into?

The whole Nuclear thing is in play... what a stupid ****ing construct the D's conjured up, now it will bite them in the ass probably.

There could be something I do not know and Gorsuch is an awful prick and a bad person, please go easy on me with that - I am not on the Right Wing side of things. I am only curious.

I mean Gorsuch is pretty right leaning, but he's not a crazy judge. He is VERY well respected, and thus, I agree, the Dems should sort of let this one go and focus on the more dangerous stuff. It's not like he is Clarence Thomas part 2, and hell he even seems more reasonable then the man he is replacing, does it kind of suck? Sure, could it be worse...oh yeah!

Yes, it's BS that the GOP did this to Obama, but at some point the Dems need to be the ones who act like adults in the room. Lose the battle, win the war etc.

The Nuclear option would be an unmitigated disaster and we could get some pretty radical choices for the bench in the future (i.e a Thiel or worse) also that swings both ways as well.

It's sad how political SCOTUS nominations are, like this is seriously the ONE area where both sides should come together and pick the overall best, most well respected and honorable choice.
