Can we leave Pat Dean in Canada permanently?

He won't pass immigration questionnaire.

Immigration official:  How many runs do you give up in a typical inning?  Pat, "6".

Immigration official:  What is you're ERA? Pat, "14"

Canadian immigration official:  "DENIED"

"Do you have anything to declare?"

Everyone: "we stink"

I liked "at some point, you're going to have to start throwing up some zeroes here"

I thought we've done plenty of throwing out zeroes this year

If Dick talks about the train wreck pitching like it's just bad luck again, I might throw up some lasagna. Does that count?

So, how about those Vikings?

Yep, looking forward to watching on Sunday from the new place. A little concerned that teddy's (already weak) arm is injured more than they're saying. Especially knowing that old as dirt (for the nfl) shaun hill is the backup.

So, how about those Vikings?

Paul Allen says he doesn't see them doing any worse than 13-3, so I'm thinking about leveraging all 40 dollars of equity in my house into a wager on the 'under' with the line sitting at 9.5 at the moment...

My son told me just now that Vin Scully's first year as a broadcaster, 1950, was Connie Mack's last year as manager. That one year of overlap means that two men have had a presence in Major League Baseball in every year of the modern era. Connie Mack's first game as a player was in 1886 but he had 5 years out of baseball before 1901.

Where did he find those 3 losses? At this time of year he's predicting 15-1 NFC Champs.

Big deal.  Between me and Ash, we've been mods here longer than that.
