Nunez played well and that's why he played.
From the sounds of your strategy, you would have been yanking him in and out of the lineup to give someone else playing time. And then he likely wouldn't have played as well.

And I'd be gentle with no yanking.

I looked up the stats on Gattis. Didn't really know what position he play.

 

A catcher: 6' 4" 270 lbs !

 

If Gattis can do it, so can Sano. And Sano has a better arm! :roll:

Sano for catcher 2016?

Santiago has 5 games with zero runs given up. 11 games with less then 2 earned. 9 games where he gave up 4 or more. 

 

Talk about Jekyl and Hyde

Huge fan here of both Jekyl and Hyde. Depending on my mood, I waffle back and forth over which is my favorite.

Like clockwork. Whenever Dick is announcing the count, and he announces the third ball, he immediately mentions the on-deck hitter. This isn't complaining about anything, but it is so incredibly consistent.

 

"now three and one; with Mauer on deck" Cant you just hear that read in his voice?

Free flights on Delta doesn't really motivate much at the moment.

 

Unless of course, I'm stuck on the Appalachian Trail for a few more days, then I'm all in.
