If we just hadn'ta given up those last four insurance runs.

That's the versatility of Jepsen. He doesn't need a save opportunity to blow a game.

The funny part is they referred to Suzuki being out at home as "the turning point" in the 9-1 game in the 9th. The other doozy was how we want to get Santana 350 at bats a year as a super utility guy.

Kind of like the game about two weeks ago. We had a good start and lost 2-1 or something. Smalley said we have good starts and we don't score. We score a lot and get a bad start. Called it bad luck.

Who you think will take the mound for the Twins?

It's a long shot, I know, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

The 2016 twins have not had a loss that wasn't followed by at least one more loss. All season. Can they break that tomorrow? Stay tuned.

Well that's not true.  They lost Saturday, and won Sunday.

//I get your point...they haven't had a one game losing streak.  But that's not very funny, so I made fun of your phrasing.

The "super" part must refer to his 280 OBP this year, as opposed to his unsuper 2015 OBP of .241.

Eek, the upcoming schedule. I shouldn't have looked at it. Don't look at it.

I did not look at it, but even so, I will bet anyone here, $20 that we are going to be playing teams with better records than us? Honest to (your favorite deity), I have not peaked! :)

I haven't looked at the standings too closely of late.

Are we in miracle Braves territory yet?

Dunno. Our 25-52 Twins have 85 games to go, right?

On July 7 1914, an off day, the Braves stood at 28-40. They went 66-19 their last 85 games.

If the Twins can do that, they'll finish 91-71. Maybe a sniff at the playoffs, but surely not first place. They're starting from a deeper hole than those Braves ever were in.

Gotta start somewhere...
