(insert approximately 2,000 words of positive remarks regarding the Twins. And if you don't know what they are, I'm not going to tell you. I'm not going to do all the work. Sheesh. Oh, all right, here's a hint: battled their tails off, got after it)

 

Over a third of the way through the season and what can we say about Twins baseball? I think Thomas Hulce (Mozart) said it best in "Amadeus:"

Some things to think about:

 

1. Robbie Grossman opted out of the Cleveland system and signed with the Twins. Since joining the Twins MLB club, Robbie Grossman is leading all AL left fielders, posting the following: Average:303, OBP:441, SLG:573, OPS:1.014 (Source: MLB.com)

 

2. Robbie Grossman has been penciled into the All Star game by me, because I think the idea is hilarious.

 

3. Robbie Grossman is only 26. 

 

4. Interestingly, Joe Maur, in the last 30 days, has posted the following: Average:300, OBP:400, SLG:.470, OPS:.853, putting him #4 among all AL 1B for the last 30 days.

Wonder if Blue Jays will claim Arcia if nobody else does. He seems with Bautista going on the DL a fit for the Blue Jays. It will be Detroit or the Jays and I sense this dude is going to mash for them.

When your going as bad as the Minnesota Twins, that kind of karma seems to always occur. 

Memo to Arcia: Don't wait for an invite. Buy a plane ticket to Toronto, throw yourself on their mercy.
