College World Series 2016

I can't say I'm the biggest fan/supporter of College Baseball, but there was one game yesterday that had me hooked. For those that didn't see the Louisville vs. UC Santa-Barbara match up, you missed out on a great finish. Sam Cohen for UC Santa Barbara hit a walk-off grand slam that I'm sure he'll remember for the rest of his life. It was also hit off of a familiar name, Zack Burdi.

I'm not into college baseball much either, but I did see the highlights of that yesterday.  That kid's adrenaline and level of euphoria must have been through the roof as he rounded the bases.  Fun stuff to watch.

I'd recommend watching a little. I went to Vanderbilt for grad school and so I've been a fan of them for a while now. Yes, the game is a little "sloppier" but I think it promotes aggressiveness which makes for some exciting plays that you don't normally see. Plus, these guys are still kids and like to have fun. Check out some of the rain delay videos.

My interest in college sports overall has dwindled over the past couple of years, which is another topic we don't have to dive into. I'll get into college baseball a little more than I have in the past since the Twins are barely on the radar anymore, and I still enjoy watching baseball.

There was also a grand slam bat flip controversy in the Miami vs. Boston College game yesterday.

Miami has a reputation of being disrespectful to the other teams. A reason why I didn't believe the Twins would draft Collins if he fell to them.
