Google Japanese naming conventions. Surname comes first.

I still have a hard time accepting this, lol. Suzuki is such a Johnson of Japanese surnames. Why would they name him Johnson Joseph, for instance?

Careful. We've already got the "Chief is so old that" bit. You're courting "SwainZag is so young that".

/ and probably those who clicked Like, too :)

Haha, I don't want to be in that group.....but I do have a 21 year old sister who might use it a lot.

Nunez is a weird scenario. Do you extend him, do you trade him, give him a qualifying offer. No matter what 3 you choose, somebody's gonna hate your guts. I'm immune to hate as I sniff rainbows and Lollypops and Glue.

I'd trade him.

Can't remember the guy's name but it wasn't Reggie.

All three of my nights there ended on Bourbon at about 5 am, if that makes you feel any better.

True Story

I've been to New Orleans once and I hit Bourbon Street. Walked into the first bar I saw and got a drink and looked around thought it was boring so I grabbed my drink and tried to find someplace new.

Heard a band playing a Doobie Brothers Tune "Long Train Running" from outside so I thought I'd go in and check them out.

Walked in the door and was walking right in the front of the stage when they stopped and the lead singer says into the Microphone... You Guys Wish you Could Sing Like Me" and I shouted back... "I Can" and he didn't say a word... he jumped off the stage and gave me the mic and he took my drink out of my hand and sat down and the band broke into Born to be Wild like this was just a normal thing... I had no idea this was going to happen so it wasn't normal to me but I got up on stage and sang it anyway.

Song ended I got off and handed him the mic back... He doesn't say a word... he gets back on stage and says... "OK... He Can but nobody else here can".

I Laughed at that and I looked around for my drink and the guy drained it... Just an empty glass.

It was an odd moment that could only happen to me... I'm on Bourbon Street for maybe 5 minutes and Boom... On stage.

Wait until the 2nd half of the season, see what contending teams have injury problems and sell high.

I was in Jamaica at a resort with my wife.  We were in the bar and 'The Dance' was requested by a couple there on their anniversary.  The Jamaican lady barely knew the song and was butchering it, so I took the mic and sang the rest of it (which was most of it).  They thanked me and bought my wife and I a round (which was funny cause it was all you could drink:-)

My wife and I were also the only guests to perform anything during the guest/employee talent show.

The second paragraph of this website, under the heading, "How do Japanese names work?", says "In Japanese, the surname comes before given name."

Interestingly, because this discussion caused me to look it up, Ichiro's name in Japanese characters is Suzuki Ichiro. The story is that his manager when he was 20 used his given name as a marketing gimmick and Ichiro had to go along with it.
