If we're going to blame Dozier's problems on being pull happy, shouldn't we also blame Mauer's problems on being oppo happy?

I'm not blaming anyone for anything specific ... just not winning

Yes, he does. It's a free world. And I have every right to complain about him being completely worthless and still having a spot in our rotation.

Edit: and if you're a professional pitcher and trying to hit a player, you really shouldn't be missing twice....

I'm OK with them getting mad. Both Ramirez and Donaldson think the world revolves around them because they are good at baseball, and it is OK for players to deal with what happens on the field on the field.

Um, seriously? I'd take Donaldson's revolving world to any fire on the Twins team.

Maybe ... but if you're going to act like the world revolves around you, wait until it actually does.

Yeah, but he doesn't play the game the "right way." Violates the unwritten rules and all that jazz. Can't have any of that on this sorry excuse for a ballclub.

Someone should spike Dick and Bert's drinks with some vodka or something, because I'm pretty sure they're just a little bit of liquid courage away from having a complete on air breakdown....and I want to hear it.

Now that I've pressure washed the grill and then washed the grill off me, I checked in to see just how bad the carnage is.

Much to my surprise, the Twins are still in it.

Look, I'm not going to defend Hughes.

He had a great 2014 after a so-so/poor start to the season. The kind of season you always felt he was more than capable of. After a similar start in 2015, he didn't pitch that far off from his 2014 self until injuries bogged him down. I really believed wed see a 2016 Hughes that would more closely resemble the '14 version, or at least a split between the two seasons. But he's been anywhere from very inconsistent to bad so far this year.

But I'm not going to knock him for his last start. Do I think he should have done his best to gut it out, pitch, mix things up, toss junk if he had to for another innING or so? Yes. And Ryan, in the pregame, sort of blasted Hughes for taking himself out of the game. But unless I missed something, didn't he tell the Twins ahead of time his shoulder was bothering him and that he didn't feel full strength? Tired arm, sore shoulder, whatver, the Twins knew. (Again, unless I missed something somewhere) And he did go out there and pitch decently, though it was a short start. Ryan himself commented we shou,d have won the game but gave it away.

Doesn't there have to be some responsibility on the coaches to either DL him or move him to the pen where he might be more effective for fewer innngs? It's not like the pen doesn't have room for a potentially decent arm there.

Um, that all happened in today's game?

Are you privy to information the rest of us aren't? The replays they showed today didn't indicate any yelling at the Twins bench. Looked more like he spit in their general direction.

Word on the street is he farted in their general direction.

Now carry on. Got to get a word with Sir Robin.

We're 7 innings in and the Twins have 1 hit?!

Pathetic...

It's too bad that Polanco, one of the better hitters on the team, is probably going down to AAA tomorrow when Escobar comes back up.

That Wisconsin Tourism Commercial

"Dogs are welcome in Wisconsin... And if they want... they can bring their people"

I'm glad they finished with that last line because I wasn't sure how they could move the tourism dollar needle without the people.

And I'm concerned now that Wisconsin is full of pet hair.

I can't think of a state I want to visit less. Maybe South Dakota.

Yeah I don't understand that commercial. Did people think dogs weren't welcome in Wisconsin?

I still don't get why most commercials are so terrible.
