Weird time to have Perkins basically equal his season high pitch count (he threw 28 tonight, and only topped it with a 29 pitch 4 out save against St Louis back in June).

What exactly was Molitor thinking? Not only does it cost us the game, it probably sets Perkins confidence level back a bit.

Obviously he was playing the percentages with 4 right handed batters batting 6 7 8 and 9.

You can sit dispassionately on the sideline and say that 2015 never really was destined to be our year anyway.

Or you can root for the team to achieve the goal of making the post-season, and take this loss as the stinging disappointment that it is.

My head told me weeks ago to pick the first option. I'm still glad I went the other direction though. It's sometimes difficult to find real emotion in mundane daily life, and sports sometimes supplies it.

/ Better, at least, than seeking out someone who brings drama into your mundane daily life for you. :)

This sort o' thing reminds me i'm still alive, and i'm glad o' that.

Also it doesn't hurt to credit the other team. They did kinda tag us for double digit hits and all.

no sense in watching opening day if you won't let this one hurt.

You all may borrow my mantra ... 'It's only a game, it's only a game, it's only a game, it's only a game' ... says one who may not have a job to go to after Tuesday.

You can move to Bisbee, Arizona where I and supposedly 27% of the population don't have jobs. But seriously, I hope you aren't going to lose your job. Unless it was destined to be, of course.
