VIkings are a bunch of drunk guys in a boat. They travel from Village to Village looking for Meat and Beer. They have long beards that get caught in the oars from time to time and they have horns on their head but are so drunk they don't even know they are there. Kinda like lampshades.

I hope Dozier hits 3 more dingers to reach 30 on the year and then... then... I hope Dozier continues with a few well placed bombs over the LF wall in the playoffs on the way to a world series.

And Then... Then... I hope Dozier spends the winter in the Dominican Republic or Australia and learns to HIT the BALL THE OTHER WAY ON OCCASION!!!!

I never made a habit of randomly shouting at helicopters before, but this might be a good trend. They seem to be going just fine.

Note: they are all wearing their seatbelt(s), so they're allowed to hang their feet out the window.

Baseball relieves my hockey withdrawal and hockey relieves my baseball withdrawal, it's a good arrangement.

When the North Stars were pirated away by that total scuzz Norm Green most of my hockey fandom went away. I've never been able to get myself interested in the Wild. The only good hockey moment of the last 20 years for me was UMD winning the NCAA a few years back. As for the Gophers, they are the Yankees of college hockey, and, worse, their fans are the Yankee fans of college hockey.

Mankind's inability to comprehend the idea of a heaven has sometimes been compared to our failure to conceptualize infinity.

Thanks to your post, one of those barricades to the evolution of homo sapiens is now removed.

And it's only the 6th inning!

jokin in the game thread house!

Serious, Fangraph-y discussion about the swing and miss ratio of Duffey's curveball underway, but you're a serious student of the game, so jump right in...

I haven't read 'em. Is this what Chaucer wrote about?

I was also meaning to say this could be a cool concept and a clever joke.

I'll take the Burger to win, the fries to place, and the ketchup to show.

I found this quote about the Canterbury Tales:

"Chaucer's characters each express different—sometimes vastly different—views of reality."

It seems like his story really might have just been a premonition of TD game threads that would centuries later..

I feel your pain, I lived it as well. When the Jets came back to town though I cried, 16 long years of frustration.
