NFL Standings Predictions

Well, we made it. The Twins have kept my interest so much this year that the NFL season actually snuck up on me. Where as in the last 4 years, I could have counted the days until real football began. I thought it would be fun to do a Predictions thread to see what everyone thought of the new season. Below are my predictions. Feel free to post yours.

NFC NORTH:

Green Bay Packers 11-5

Minnesota Vikings 10-6 (HOMER PICK ALERT)

Detroit Lions 7-9

Chicago Bears 5-11

NFC EAST:

Dallas Cowboys 12-4

Philadelphia Eagles 9-7

NY Giants 8-8

Washington R Words 3-13

NFC WEST:

Seattle Seahawks 12-4

Arizona Cardinals 10-6

St. Louis Rams 7-9

San Francisco 49ers 4-12

NFC SOUTH:

Atlanta Falcons 10-6

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 8-8

Carolina Panthers 7-9

New Orleans Saints 6-10

AFC NORTH:

Pittsburgh Steelers 10-6

Baltimore Ravens 9-7

Cincinnati Bengals 7-9

Cleveland Browns 5-11

AFC EAST:

New England Patriots 13-3

Miami Dolphins 10-6

Buffalo Bills 6-10

New York Jets 4-12

AFC WEST:

Kansas City Chiefs 10-6

Denver Broncos 9-7

San Diego Chargers 7-9

Oakland Raiders 5-11

AFC SOUTH:

Indianapolis Colts 12-4

Houston Texans 8-8

Jacksonville Jaguars 6-10

NFC WC: Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals

AFC WC: Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Ravens

MVP: Andrew Luck QB - Colts

Super Bowl Champ: Green Bay Packers...... sigh.

I think the Bucs will be much worse than that. Rookie QB with a BAD offensive line.

I think it is about time Andrew Luck wins the MVP.

I also think the Bills and Raiders could potentially post an 8-8 + records. Raiders need good D play and Bills need good O play but they could be pretty solid teams. That Raiders O out of nowhere looks kind of scary if Derek Carr plays better this year than he did last year.

Oakland has some tough sledding early this season but I do like Carr and Amari Cooper. The Bills I have zero faith in. Good D but absolutely zero answer at QB.

We'll see tonight but I have a feeling this Patriots team misses the playoffs.

Could happen. Their secondary has a lot of questions on how they can replace Revis. As long as Brady is the QB they can be competitive

Colts and Eagles Super Bowl.

I don't get why everyone is so high on the colts this year, in 50% of the articles I see they are predicted to win or at least make the super bowl.

That defense is a joke and will get exposed time after time.

Agreed. They have the luxury of playing in the worst division in football for the last 10+ years. Once they play a good team in the playoffs their D will be shredded to pieces.

The other part that people support with Indy is that Luck is just a ridiculous combination of gritty and talented as hell.  It's hard to put guys like that away, even if they have a crappy defense.

I get it, but part of the issue with Indy was they got too good too fast.  Most teams rebuilding around a #1 overall pick have at least two years of picking top 10 to build around the cornerstone, Indy didn't have that.

I think this year represents a step forward in Luck's supporting cast.  I consider that a big deal since I think he's basically carried that team single-handedly to any success they've had.

I don't think they're a Super Bowl team, but they are going to be tough to beat.

I wouldn't even consider Indy to ever be a rebuilding team. They lucked out, which might not be the best term, on losing Peyton Manning for the season in a year where the best QB in the last decade was NFL draft bound. They absolutely tanked that season to make sure they obtained him...

As a Vikings fan, I am extremely resentful of the Packers and Colts for not skipping a beat on obtaining HOF caliber QBs.

Pretty entertaining 1st week of football, minus a couple of clunker games. Titans v. Buccaneers had to have been un-watchable, and the Sunday Night Football game was brutal until about 2 minutes left in the game after I gave up and went to bed.

Any predictions on the home state team tonight? I'm a little nervous of the offensive line now that Sullivan is out...

PacMan Jones should be suspended, and he should have been thrown out for what he did with Amari Toomer. The worst of it is that he wasn't thrown out, and later in that same game, he injured Raiders QB Derek Carr on an awkward hit. If I'm a Raiders fan, I'm PO'd at Overlord Goodell and his officials right now.

Agreed. Pacman Jones is a clown who deliberately tried to concuss Cooper at the very least. He's lucky that Cooper wasn't seriously injured as a result of getting the back of his head slammed into his helmet. With so many ticky tack penalties called in the game, it's amazing that blatantly obvious fouls are still missed on the field.
