Huh ... he went down swinging, no? Or are you speaking of the 3rd base ump? Or was there no appeal? (Forgive the idiotic questions ... I'm on Gameday.)

If you watch gameday, the pitches many times are no where near where they are in real life.....you dont know how many times i screamed while watching gameday, and then see a replay and go, oh??!!!!! that is not what i saw in my thoughts LOL

If I was the owner, the GM or the manager, Buxton would be permanently forbidden from sliding head first at any base.  He seems awkward and like another injury waiting to happen.  He was fortunate that he did not injure his right hand or wrist on that last slide.

Nice job by plouffe. But beyond stupid to send Buxton there with Sano due up.

I disagree, they walk Sano to pitch to Hunter, i take my chances with Buxtons speed there, and as someone said, he must have not realized 2 outs?? he should have been on Suzuki's tail otherwise.

If I remember correctly, at the time the comment was made, Mauer had just gone down swinging with a full count. I have a hard time blaming Gameday or Lance Barrett ... but if we're talking about the whole game ... I'll agree with anyone on that subject.

"It has gotten to the point this year that it isn't a game against the Sox if there isn't some sort of errant throw by a Sox player somewhere into the outfield."

I may not often be right, but when I am, I gloat.

I remember hearing somewhere that Tom Herr didn't have a tail after all. So it was Suzuki stole it? Good to know.

interesting... you'd get Sano more at bats, and more runners in front of him, i like it

with that OBP, he definitely should be at least hitting 3rd. He should come to the plate the first inning of every game! He instantly gives you a shot no matter what to take an early lead or jump start the offense asap

I'd prefer

Hicks

Sano

mauer

dozier

But it wouldn't happen

i like the Dozier power threat behind Sano more than the Mauer single/walk threat
