I have a weakness for Cherry Coke, I can't get it here so I often bring a few cases back from my trips Stateside , it's like I want it because I can't have it.

Cherry Dr. Pepper just isn't the same.

Just add a little grenadine to your Coke; or cherry juice.

My old college roommate always wants me to ship Vanilla Coke to him in Thunder Bay. Why doesn't Canada allow flavored Coke products?

Well, Mike has a valid question in response to your query. My take is that they think we won't notice, that goes for a lot of things up here, and has some validity.

I don't really get it, conspiracy is probably closer to the truth, isn't it always?

You can keep the simulated vanilla products btw..............blech! Real vanilla good, not real vanilla , bad.

Is it tacky to say a thread you started is one of your favorite threads? Asking for a friend....

Suuuuuure you are ;)

Actually, I really like this thread because it changes every day with a new food or item to be celebrated. But when we come full circle, not sure what we'll do!

Alright, this day is a huge win in my book. Drum roll please...........

Today is National Peanut Butter Fudge Day. Good lord that sounds amazing. My mouth is drooling looking at pictures.

Today is also National Absurdity Day. Which is nothing new on TD. It's absurd to me that The Front Office and Settling for Mediocrity thread refuses to die. It's like it's grown a mind of its own, and sucks in posters to feed it, continue to grow, and eventually take over the entire site. We're all going to be absorbed by its powers some day.

My oldest son eats PB all the time. When he recently posted a picture of fruit and vegetable as his dinner, one of his friends asked where the PB was. He replied that he only had 5 jars left, and needed to ration it......His ice cream is usually more PB than ice cream in the bowl.

Heh, that sounds like me. I don't eat a lot of meat, so PB becomes my main protein source.

Creamy is the equivalent to a Honda Accord. Reliable, trustworthy, the kind of PB you'll enjoy any day.

But sometimes, you need that THRILL. A change from your routine. Crunchy is the sports car of PB. Can't use it every day, but every so often it hits the spot.

CRUNCHY! Any day, any time. If you want the cream, chew. And if you like the crunch, don't settle for peanuts when there's PB at hand...peanuts are truly horrible, though I'll grudgingly admit they've miraculously redeemed themselves through peanut butter, clinching a place for themselves in this world.

Still, PB isn't exactly my thing. When is National Cheese Day??? Cheese to me is like PB to Mike's son. It's mankind's greatest creation, and it comes in countless varieties, each representing different cultures in their own unique way. It's not uncommon for me to go through nearly a whole brick in one sitting, even ordinary cheddar cheese, and the only thing that stops me is my kindhearted generosity; it wouldn't do to completely exclude the rest of my family from this wonderful food. Cheese>>>anything else on the planet. I'm constantly being teased about taking a little [---] with my cheese.

Heh...you'd almost think I was a Packers fan.

Cheese can be polarizing at times... There are countless examples of great cheeses out there, but there are also some that are too funky for my taste buds. I will say there is one cheese that comes to mind that I will never, ever, consider eating.....

Cottage Cheese.
