Our office was out of creamer this morning... So needless to say, I had a below average cup of joe to celebrate this day!

Also, on this day in 1954, baseball fans rejoice. It's the day of "The Catch!" Willie Mays tracks a ball hit 450 feet and makes an over the head, basket catch that still lives on to this day.

Um, out of 'creamer' ... as in non-dairy creamer, or partially non-dairy creamer? I'd be more comfortable with your statement if you had said 'Our office out of cream this morning ...'

The cows mosied on out of the office...

Not sure. Our office buys the costco sized Coffee-Mate French Vanilla creamer since there's 50 people in here. The person who goes supplies the kitchen with stuff hasn't gone out yet this week, so no creamer for us today...

May have to go to Summer Moon over the lunch hour to pick up a good cup of coffee!

Happy Birthday, Julie Andrews.

Bit of trivia you've probably all heard before, but Andrews won a best actress Academy Award in 1964 for her role in Mary Poppins. At the end of her acceptance speech she thanked the producers of My Fair Lady, who wouldn't cast her in movie, despite her Tony nominations for the role on Broadway and lead Rex Harrison's first choice, saying she wasn't enough of a 'star' at the box office. That freed her up to take on the role of Mary Poppins.

Today appears to be my day!

Today is National Taco Day! There's 2 food items that I could eat every day of the year... One is pizza, and the second is tacos. I will most certainly be celebrating this day! What's your go-to place for a taco?

Today is also National Vodka Day! Favorite alcohol, ranked:

- Beer

- Vodka

- Wine

- Rum

- Whiskey

- dirt

- vomit

-Getting struck by a bus

- Jägermeister

Today is also National Golf Lover's Day! If we're not able to watch the Twins, you will find me on a golf course. It's a very frustrating sport, but for some reason I love it.

Finally, on this day in 1927, Danish-American sculptor Gutzon Borglum and a crew of 400 people begin the construction of a well known monument in South Dakota... This sculpture took over 10 years to complete, and most shocking of all, there were no fatalities! Who has taken a trip to see Mount Rushmore?

I've already done my Mexican food where I live lament. I love tacos as well, I just can't get good ones as much as I'd like.

Gin

Not a fan of vodka and refuse to recognise it as a legitimate ingredient for a martini.

I like golf, used to be pretty good at it, then children came along and spending 5 hours on a Sunday playing golf no longer seemed important.

Been to Rushmore, impressive. I really like the Black Hills area. I was once in Deadwood and took part in the re-enactment of the shooting of Wild Bill Hickock at Saloon 10. My kids were terrified I was actually in danger of getting shot, and I wasn't even playing Bill.

For a 4-5 year period in time, our family had an RV that we used to camp out on traveling baseball weekends, etc. One of our RV trips was visiting the Black Hills and Mount Rushmore. My goodness is that a boring trip in the car when you're 12-13 years old. Mount Rushmore is a sight to see though.

I remember seeing all of the signs for Wall Drug, advertising their "free ice water". Being 12-13 and not knowing anything better, I was thinking this must be some special ice water if they keep advertising it! We stopped there, and it's pretty over rated from my memory.

I will be celebrating National Taco Day by joyfully and gleefully seeking out the taco trucks on every corner! Yay for Tacos!

That's what we did for lunch! This was the taco I had... The Bur-ro!

Spinach, fried egg, avacado, and pico de gallo!
