I feel like this became a thing 10-15 years ago. I remember in elementary school people could bring in whatever they wanted for their birthday. Now schools are going to extreme measures to protect themselves from any sort of lawsuit over allergy concerns

There may be a case or two where a child really could die if they are in contact with peanuts... I'd venture to guess most parents are over reacting and claim their child's allergy is worse than it really is.

I thought is was more common to grow out of them. I was speaking more as a parent, my kids school has always been a nut free zone but never anywhere I've worked.

Maybe because adults are more aware of their allergies and are in a better position to guard against an accidental peanut intake?

Well I guess much of that would be true, they are less likely to just blindly eat something someone offered them. Can't say I've ever traded lunches at work, lol.

Ooooh,  I have.  I traded leftover Papa Murphys for homemade stuffed bell peppers.  Yeah, I won.  The guy is a very, VERY good cook.

I saw the 'Papa' and immediately thought Papa Beard ... no way anyone wins trading away a Papa Beard cream puff. No. Way. But you didn't say that so carry on.

I'll trade you this delicious banana for your Snack Pack.

In this trade, you are the Blue Jays acquiring Josh Donaldson... You fleeced the guy.

Yeah, at least people in small towns have an excuse. I'll never understand someone in a city with options eating at places like that.

Last weekend I met up with a group of guys to watch football and drink beer.. We had a good laugh when one of our friends suggested Chili's as an option to watch football games.

I'd love to start this morning off with a creme-filled donut. Since it's National Creme-Filled Donut Day! Bavarian creme please!

Today is also National Eat a Hoagie Day! You don't have to tell me twice to eat a sandwich on delicious bread! Did you know there's a rivalry between 2 families on who was the first to create the hoagie? The DiCostanzas and DePalmas are essentially the Hatfield's and McCoy's of hoagies. NO ONE has the proof that they're the first.

Finally, on this day in 1716, the first light house in what we now call the United States was constructed! Happy 300th birthday, Boston Light! Has anyone seen it in person?

Alright here is the deal with pizza because you are all wrong.

Every pizza joint, without exception, runs too few ovens. So when you order a pizza during normal meal hours you get an expensive low-mass pie that is underdone. Even when you request it "well done," they undercook it. That's been my experience, every, time.

Papa Murphys is awesome because its a cheap massive pie and the fact that you have to cook it yourself is a benefit, not a drawback. Because you can cook it properly, a half hour at least, which is about as long as it would take to get one of the aforementioned overpriced undersized gourmet fancy pizzas anyways. And Papa Murphys are made fresh to order so I don't know why people are trashing it like its some low quality product.

Too few ovens is correct. AND it's incredibly difficult to maintain proper oven temperature throughout the day. The oven cools as they're slinging pizzas through it during rush hour.

If you enjoy a well done pizza, order one before the lunch rush.. ideally when the store opens is when you're going to get the best results.

Side note, I'm a fan of Papa Murphy's for the reasons you stated. For a $7-10 pizza, I'm choosing Papa Murphys over the Pizza Huts, Domino's, and Papa Johns of the world.
