I note we are not friends on SM......

 

My wife loves popsicles. Loves them. I have thought about having a food truck/cart that sold high end popsicles, some of which would be alcoholic.....but I don't think I want to work every weekend....

I work many weekends, rarely both Sat. and Sun., but then have Mondays off. I LOVE having weekdays off. So less crowded for the things I want or need to do.

Yeah ... I've removed quite a few myself. I've unfollowed quite a few, too.

Unfollowing a person is a great tool for oversharing family members... Had to do it to one of my cousins who posts 4-5 different memes on a daily basis. It's better than explaining why I unfriended him.

My trick to avoiding people on social media, is to stay off of social media. I don't have a Facebook or Twitter account, but I live vicariously through my wife's Facebook account however, although the whole thing seems to aggravate her more than anything, seems to be the way with Facebook.

 

My kids choose Popsicles over pretty much any other treat, I'm regularly shocked that they choose a popsicle over some other delicious ice cream treat in the freezer.

 

Meteors are cool, as long as we don't get hit by one.

I had someone tell me once that once your tweets got enough eyes on them, you'd start noticing that various porn Twitter accounts would start liking them and retweeting them. I've recently hit that level on my scouting reports and such, which I'm not sure if that's an accomplishment or not! LOL

Bet you never would have dreamed when you first started writing scouting reports and blogs that one day, a porn bot on Twitter would be retweeting your work!

Happy Friday!! I hope y'all have awesome plans for the upcoming 3 day weekend. 

Today is National Creative Ice Cream Flavors Day! So if you're feeling like ice cream, don't get the traditional vanilla, chocolate, strawberry... Go with a flavor you'd never consider before! There's an ice cream shop here in Austin called Lick, and they have very unique flavors of ice cream. Blackberry, Lime, and Basil may be the flavor I'll try today! 

 

Today is also National Gingersnaps Day! For some reason I think of gingersnaps during Christmas, not during the 4th of July weekend. Either way they're delicious!

There's an ice cream shop here in Austin called Lick, and they have very unique flavors of ice cream. Blackberry, Lime, and Basil may be the flavor I'll try today!

Just look for ginger snap ice cream and honor the day in one fell swoop.

When I told my wife it was national bikini day yesterday, and that she should participate......well, I thought my sons were good eye rollers.....

I saw a poll was taken (of 2000 women) about who best wore the bikini; the results:

 

1) Raquel Welch

2) Ursula Andress

3) Marilyn Monroe

 

I cannot find fault here; I presume Sophia Loren would be fourth.

Happy National Fried Chicken Day! Your favorite place to grab fried chicken, go.

 

Actually, Jewel (grocery store chain here) has really good fried and grilled chicken in their deli. I usually go for the grilled, though. But when I visit my parents in Fort Myers I go to this place called the Farmers Market Restaurant specifically for their fried chicken. It's the best!

My mother used to make the most amazing fried chicken in a cast iron frying pan; nothing has ever beat it out.

 

The Art Song chicken wings were also pretty flavorful; I don't think we can find those anymore, either.
