Love brownies, absolutely love them, but it burns my ass when people insist on putting walnuts in them. What a waste of a good brownie!

Nuts do not belong in cookies or brownies.

So, in honor of National Pastry Day I had a pop-tart for breakfast. All I can say is it looked good in the vending machine.

 

Disappointed.

Ish.. If we're going down that path for pastries, at least have a toaster strudel! 

Pop Tarts in the world of pastries is equivalent to Totino's Pizza in the world of pizzas!

As my small home is filled with the most awesome aromas (baking pumpkin break), it reminded me that this has not been updated in a while. Today was National Biscuits and Gravy Day and National Bouillabaisse Day. Neither are really my cup of tea, so I guess I don't have much to say about it. But what surprises me most is that you guys missed Lager Day!! REally??? So shocked.

I'm with ya, neither of today's selections are up my alley. Never understood the biscuits and gravy thing, waste of both really. Christmas is getting close however, which means Yorkshire pudding and gravy, oh baby!!

 

Missing lager day makes me sad, although lager is a summer beer for me. Oh well. I'm sure I'll find a way to make it up to myself.....somehow.
