Article: Game Thread: Twins v Orioles, 7/6 @ 7:10pm CT

Just read the Oliva bio by Henninger.

I had no idea, but Tony was an awful outfielder initially - through A LOT of hard work, he made himself a gold glover by his 3rd season. He was probably more agile than Oswaldo, but Arcia is good enough of an athlete to get at least average.

I have no doubt Oswaldo could do that, but his current career trajectory indicates the light bulb hasn't gone on yet.

I see Hicks is going the opposite way this game. Rather than a spectacular play in the outfield and then a home run, Hicks decided to get take care of the home run first.

I can hardly wait to see the catch.

That catch was definitely worth the wait!  Nice call.

That thing I said earlier about the Rosario-Buxton-Hicks outfield?  Excitement is ramping up here.

I could be arguing on my spare time.Instead, i'll pine for the fjords.Nothing stirs the blood like glaciation. Unless its plate tectonics...

Ah, magma flow.

Hey, the big guy has a five game hitting streak.

It was a bad route?  How so?

His path took him too far to LF and offtrack of the flight path.  He had to go over the shoulder because he didn't have time to correct his route.

Great concentration to do that, but it wouldn't have looked so tough if his path had been correct in the first place.

We'll agree to disagree.

Berardino making a good case for Dozier:

Mike Berardino ‏@MikeBerardino  · 25m25 minutes ago
Brian Dozier leads all MLB 2Bs with 56 HRs since 5/28/13.

Neil Walker (PIT) is 2nd with 43.

Robinson Cano (33) is third.

Brian Dozier leads all MLB 2Bs w/slugging percentage of .453 since 5/28/13.

Robinson Cano (.447) is 2nd.
Neil Walker (.446) is 3rd.

So, this isn't a "since the start of 2014" thing with Brian Dozier. The switch flipped on more than 25 months ago in Milwaukee.

Brian Dozier entered tonight with 163 walks since 5/28/13. That's 15th in #MLB and tops among 2Bs.

Kipnis (148) is 2nd.
Cano (126) is 3rd

Brian Dozier is 3rd in #MLB with 230 runs since 5/28/13.

Only Mike Trout (243) and Matt Carpenter (231) have scored more.

Brian Dozier leads all 2Bs with those 230 runs since 5/28/13.

Ian Kinsler (208) is 2nd.
Jason Kipnis (177) is 3rd.

So, my son is in prison.  I'm getting so old, I can't dig the garden any more, and told him so in a letter, letting him know I wished he was here to help.  He wrote me back...I figured to apologize, but the letter said "Dear dad, DON'T dig the garden, that's where I hid the loot!"

The next day, 15 cops come, and dig in my garden for most of two days.

Next day, I get another letter..."Dear dad...is the garden dug yet?  Love, you son."
