Looks like you won the Triple Crown.

 

I remember Secretariat's victory after a 25 year drought.  Then Seattle Slew and Affirmed came so quickly.

 

It's been a long wait since 1978.

 

American Pharoah is a beautiful horse.  And Bob Baffert is about as dominant in his profession as you get.

 

I hope we don't have to wait another generation to see another Triple Crown winner -- but that is what makes it so special.

I read an article not that long ago that running a horse in the three races against horses that only run one or two of them makes a huge difference and why there aren't more triple crown winners, as the horses running only one or two of them were fresher. There was also some discussion on the 'fairness' of this in terms of the purses won, but I don't really remember the article completely.
