Is it possible that everyone can just act like adults?

Over the past few days I have seen a lot of whining, tattle telling ("this guy said this about the coach and inferred this about me and its not nice") and a lot of ticky tack stuff (I'm sure the mods inboxes are getting filled up with even more of this stuff)

 

Is it possible that everyone can just act like an adult and stop taking everything so personally when it comes to a word, description, thought or idea they don't agree with? I am sure the mods would appreciate it, and I know I certainly would. I'm not saying things need to be the wild west, but I think everyone should have just a tiny bit of thick skin and stop taking things so personally (in the 3+ negative vs positive threads especially)?
