That only posts the url into my post whenever I do it.

A more manual method that amounts to the same thing is to precede the URL with the word "media" inside square brackets, and then close it with "/media" inside square brackets.

Like this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EZTUYwjWBs

Here is the above URL without the surrounding meta-code, and with an extraneous space thrown in to prevent it from being interpreted as an embedded video anyway:

https: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EZTUYwjWBs

It works for me with www.youtube.com URLs that have "watch?v=" after the slash. The URL might need to be of the type that starts "https://". If you're trying to post a video from some other source, maybe none of this works.

They're mlb.com videos that I can't get to work.  I've tried what you're talking about with no success.

Yes, I see the same behavior you're reporting. I tried a few ideas with no results. Maybe Brock will pipe up with a solution.

The above link is worth viewing in its own right, BTW. The Smartest Play In The History Of Baseball, or at least of today.

I believe Terry Mulholland is the first guy I saw do this.
